1 Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using markets.i.ng (the "Platform"), owned and operated by ge3.i.ng, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not access or use our services.

2 Nature of the Platform

markets.i.ng is a digital infrastructure and directory platform that connects physical market merchants across specialized Nigerian commercial hubs (such as Computer Village, Alaba International, Ladipo, Balogun, ASPAMDA, and other hubs) directly with buyers via WhatsApp.

Direct-to-Trader Commerce: markets.i.ng does NOT act as an escrow intermediary, does NOT collect transaction commissions on physical goods, and is not a party to the actual contract of sale formed between a buyer and a merchant on WhatsApp or at the physical market stall.

3 Merchant & Stall Owner Obligations

All traders registered on markets.i.ng agree and covenant to:

Physical Location Accuracy: Provide genuine, auditable physical market stall addresses (market name, plaza, line, and stall number). Providing fraudulent or misleading shop addresses is grounds for immediate termination.
Authentic Product Descriptions: Accurately disclose item conditions (e.g. Brand New in Box, Original Tokunbo, Refurbished, Used). Misrepresenting used or cloned electronics as brand-new is strictly forbidden.
Prohibited Items: Never list stolen goods, counterfeit merchandise, illegal narcotics, unregistered firearms, pirated intellectual property, or any items prohibited by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Pricing Honesty: Provide legitimate retail and wholesale price estimates. False clickbait pricing is subject to listing removal.

4 Buyer Responsibilities & Due Diligence

Buyers utilizing markets.i.ng acknowledge and agree that:

You are responsible for conducting appropriate due diligence on product condition, specification, and warranty terms prior to transferring payment.
We strongly recommend inspecting high-value goods (laptops, phones, automotive engines, heavy machinery) physically at the merchant's physical stall whenever feasible.
Payment transactions occur directly between the buyer and the seller. Always request an authentic stamped receipt and confirm bank account name alignment before sending transfers.

5 SaaS Subscriptions & Payments

Merchants opting for paid growth tiers (e.g. Merchant Hub at ₦5,000/month or Platinum Wholesale at ₦15,000/month) agree to recurring subscription billing handled securely via Paystack. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through the trader dashboard before the renewal date. Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle begins.

6 Verified Stall Badge Policy

The "Verified Stall" badge indicates that markets.i.ng personnel or market coordinators have audited the merchant's physical shop address or commercial documentation. The badge does not constitute an absolute guarantee or insurance policy for individual product transactions. Verified status may be revoked immediately if a trader is found engaging in deceptive trade practices.

7 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, markets.i.ng and its parent entity ge3.i.ng shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from transactions conducted between users on WhatsApp, delivery courier disputes, or product performance issues.

8 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising in connection with the Platform shall be resolved amicably through good-faith dialogue, failing which the courts in Lagos State, Nigeria shall have jurisdiction.
